The 6-Day Orange River Rafting trail will take you from our base camp through the Nababeep Community & Richtersveld community reserve. Over the next 6 days, you can expect to see spectacular mountains, fast-flowing channels, and excellent bird life. The river is graded at level 1-3 in difficulty and is suitable for beginners.
We cater for vegetarians. However, we do recommend to bring your food if you are following a stricter diet. Our guides will assist with the preparations of meals. The experience of the guides and attention to detail make our trips excellent.
The Richtersveld is home to goat herders trekking through the endless desert mountains. We don’t have designated campsites and camp for the day depends on the progress made that day, where we will choose our overnight spot on the banks of the river.
This trip is an excellent combination of rafting and relaxing. We float along the Orange River and explore the hiking trails of the Richtersveld. It is not a race. It is preferably an outdoor expedition suitable for all with no experience. Our guides will be responsible for your safety paddling down the Orange River. Our meals are organically grown at The Growcery Camp and freshly prepared on open fires. On our trail, there will be a resupply point on day 4. We will receive fresh supplies and drinks for the remainder of our river trip.
This 6-Day Orange River Rafting trail is suitable for the adventure seeker that wants to explore the Richtersveld region. Its perfect if you want to camp on the banks of the Orange River and indulge in star gazing.

NB – No client will be allowed on the river without a Valid Passport and Unabridged Birth Certificate for minors.
We are Protecting the Environment:
We do not allow glass or glass containers on the river trail. Please decant glass content such as wine and spirits into plastic bottles or make use of canned products. Our travellers will transport all waste back to our base camp. Be mindful of the mark you leave when camping in nature. We want to conserve the untouched feel and help our guests by briefing them about how we do things on the river.
