Photographic safaris are a great way to experience wildlife and nature with a purpose. Our experiences focus on the behaviour of wildlife in its natural environment. Everyone is able and capable of capturing what we experience. There is no need to have the best equipment or what you use for photography. We aim to guide you in understanding the fauna and flora of the areas we will visit. This will give you insight and understanding of seasons, behaviour and migrations. This way, you can prepare yourself for learning to capture the moments.
Our photographic safaris allow everyone to learn about capturing nature and enjoy our natural experiences. It is best to keep our groups small, ensuring comfort whilst on a safari. We have selected some of the best destinations in and around Southern and Eastern Africa. These photographic Safaris are between 7 and 14 days at a time. We prefer to stay longer in camps to give us a better chance of capturing the best moments.
Our days start early in the morning. Capturing the first light is a priority on our safaris. The morning and evening lights are the golden hours. The light is very bright in the middle of the day, and temperatures are not suitable sometimes for Photography. This is an excellent time for practising techniques. We do not have a set routine, and it varies from season to location to the interests of our clients. In the evenings, we have our dinner and some relaxing time and again, depending on the moon phase, we experiment with some night photography. It is essential to have enough batteries and battery chargers if you want to engage in the opportunities.
A laptop or safe storage for SD cards is of utmost importance on these safaris. Our vehicles come with charging points, and power banks are beneficial on these safaris. We aim to make the most of our time and locations.
The significant lenses tare best in small groups. Big Telephoto lenses are susceptible to movement. If our clients require us to use big focal lenses, our safaris will be small groups only and a maximum of 4 people per safari. Our team is flexible and can accommodate the needs of the individual on request.
You are welcome to customise your photographic safaris experience. Contact us, and we will design the perfect photograph escape. We have teamed up with reputable operators and suppliers to offer the best options for your interest and budget.
The seasons in Southern Africa can be extreme. You can have 45 degrees in summer and minus 10 in winter. Capturing different seasons allows for a variety of moments. No single destination is always the same. The lush green season offers a variety of changes and new life. Every traveller has a different point of view, and this reflects in their captures.
Discover the hidden routes and wilderness with your lens this season. All covid protocols are in place and no better place to social distance than the African bush.
